acapulco volume 2 - PDX

Last year I spent a month in Portland, Oregon, hanging out with new and old musical friends. Seeing as 'acapulco volume 1' was all about me celebrating songs by my Australian friends, it seemed appropriate that I work on songs from Portland for 'acapulco volume 2'. Here are my a'capella versions of songs by The Shins, Laura Gibson, Fruit Bats, Sean Flinn, Shelley Short, and Arch Cape.

It has been mastered in Portland by the fabulous Tony Lash, (Elliott Smith, Dandy Warhols) and the lovely Amy Ruppel (www.amyruppel.com) has done the artwork.

I hope you enjoy these songs and they inspire you to seek out the original artists. If you ever have the opportunity to visit Portland, Oregon, tell everyone I say "hi"!
